The Adidas Adios Pro 4 is a marathon racing shoe with an extremely soft midsole foam. This version is a major departure from the previous generation Adios Pro 3, which many in the hobby jogger community loved for its supportive feel and stable ride. While this version is significantly lighter with a better forefoot geometry for speed, the foam's squishiness makes it a less reliable choice for bigger runners, heel strikers or anyone who prefers stability in their race shoe. At times, we could even feel the carbon Energy Rods underfoot due to the foam's softness. Lighter forefoot runners or those who prefer a soft feel will do well in the Adios Pro 4. For a more supportive and comfortable ride that's just as fast, we recommend the Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 3. Note the sizing is snug here, so go up half a size if you do choose to get the Adios Pro 4.
