The Saucony Ride 18 is an everyday running shoe designed to handle any type of run. It has a supportive and smooth ride with enough bounce for picking up the pace. The major change in this generation is a more comfortable upper and slightly softer underfoot feel. The PWRRUN+ foam in the midsole isn't too soft or too firm, and it's a highly durable compound that will perform well for 300+ miles. While this isn't our favorite shoe for any one type of run, it's a jack of all trades that will work well for runners seeking no-nonsense versatility. For a more fun ride at a similar price point, consider the Mizuno Neo Zen or Asics Novablast 5.
