The Brooks Hyperion Elite 4 PB is a marathon racing shoe with a comfortable foam and full-length carbon plate. The upper is lightweight and dialed-in, and the platform is surprisingly stable given the softness of the midsole. While it’s not the most aggressive race shoe on the market (that would be the Nike Alphafly 3 or the ASICS Metaspeed Sky Paris), it has a peppy ride that responds well to a variety of footstrikes and paces. The updated PEBA foam is bouncy and pleasant, and the forefoot rocker delivers a smooth and controlled ride. The is a great race day option for runners who prefer a narrow and streamlined platform.
